 Images touching your heart

Inspiration - across generations and cultures

I hope I can inspire you to take more pictures after you have visited my webpage! I would also like to share some tips on how you can take better pictures. Moreover I want to share some of the webpages I visit when I need inspiration.                        Ada Elmgart

Some advice on how to make better pictures:

  • Watch the light - the meaning of the words photography means "drawing with light". Always try to get the best light for the picture you want to create!
  • Get down on the level of your objects - try to get down to the child or animal you are trying to capture to better get in touch with your object and to get the best picture possible.
  • Move in close - most of the time you get a better picture by moving in closer to get focus on the object you want to stress in the picture.
  • Try to direct your pictures if possible - bring your subjects together or try a different viewpoint. Avoid being just a passive picture-taker.
  • Take some vertical pictures - many pictures look better from a vertical perspective.
